PASTORAL COUNSELING

Unlike traditional, secular mental health counseling and psychotherapy, pastoral counseling provides a Christ-centered, biblical, spiritual perspective for those who seek to integrate their faith into the process of resolving issues. Care of the soul and spiritual direction are enfolded into counseling sessions. Linda Stoll and Bob Eckler have received the Board Certified Pastoral Counselor (BCPC) designation from the International Board of Christian Counselors. As such, they adhere to the highest professional standards in accordance with the American Association of Christian Counselors AACC Code of Ethics.

Please note that emergency mental health services are not provided. If you are in crisis, please call the Dutchess County Helpline at 485-9700 or go immediately to your local hospital emergency room.

Counseling for Women - Linda offers counseling on Wednesdays and Thursdays. She provides guidance and direction for women dealing with the issues of anger, anxiety, bereavement, burnout, chronic illness, depression, family & parenting, life transitions, and relationships.

Counseling for Men - Bob specializes in counseling for men, mentoring pastors, and facilitating confidential support groups.

Premarital & Marriage Counseling - Creekside Ministries offers a unique approach to couples counseling. Bob and Linda partner together to provide a team dynamic that couples will appreciate. Using the comprehensive Prepare/Enrich Assessment, this innovative approach provides a non-threatening atmosphere that's conversational, deeply honest, and effective.

*** Please note that our premarital program requires six to eight hours of counseling, starting at least six months prior to the wedding date.

Family Counseling - In a neutral atmosphere away from home, families are able to learn to communicate truth in a respectful manner.

Mediation - Specializing in resolving conflict between church members, Linda provides peacemaking services in the neutral, tranquil atmosphere that Creekside offers.

FEES

Individual Counseling - $65/one hour session.
Premarital & Marriage Counseling - $80/one hour session. Clients are responsible for paying the $30 online fee for the Prepare/Enrichment assessment.
Family Counseling - $80/one hour session.

Mediation - $90/hour, with each party paying 50% of the fee.
All fees are due at the end of each session. Cash is acceptable; personal checks may be made out to the counselor providing the service. Please note that our counselors are not licensed by New York State as mental health professionals and are not able to take insurance.

Funds are available, on a limited basis, to assist clients who are experiencing financial hardship. Clients in full time ministry receive a 50% discount. Please inquire when calling for an appointment.
